Parking Ordinance Reminder

The City of Greendale would like to remind residents to please keep sidewalks clear and fully passable.


When parking in driveways, please ensure vehicles do not extend onto or block the sidewalk. Clear sidewalks are essential for safe pedestrian travel, especially for residents who rely on wheelchairs, mobility devices, strollers, or other ADA-accessible accommodations.


Blocking a sidewalk is prohibited under Indiana law, and the Greendale Police Department may enforce this when sidewalks are obstructed.
