INDEPENDENCE DAY 2026 CELEBRATIONS IN GREENDALE: This Saturday, July 4th, Greendale is pulling out all the stops for a full day of Independence Day festivities — and this year, we're celebrating 250 years of American freedom. Here's everything you need to know: 5K Run/Walk | 8:00am | Greendale Park The annual 5K Run/Walk, hosted by Voices of Indiana, kicks off the day at Greendale Park. Once road closure barricades are in place on Saturday, July 4th, please remember that these apply to golf carts as well. Do not drive golf carts through barricaded areas. Ridge Avenue will remain open to golf cart traffic from Cook to Decker during the festivities. Additionally, the City of Greendale Administration Building will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in observance of the holiday. Greendale's tennis and pickleball courts will be also be closing at 5:00pm on July 4th, and there will be NO PARKING after 12:00pm on Rand Avenue.
