New Unified Development Ordinance (No. 2025-07)
Notice is hereby given that on the 14th day of May, 2025, the Common Council for the City of Greendale, Indiana adopted Ordinance No. 2025-07, “ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 152, MOBILE HOMES; SECTION 153.01, PLAN COMMISSION CREATED; SECTION 153.02, MEMBERSHIP; SECTION 153.25, NUMBERING OF BUILDINGS AND LOTS; CHAPTER 154, SUBDIVISION CONTROL; CHAPTER 155, ZONING; AND CHAPTER 156, SIGNS OF THE CITY’S CODE OF ORDINANCES AND REPLACING IT WITH THE NEW UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE (UDO) WITH THE INTENT TO CODIFY THE NEW UDO AS CHAPTER 155 OF THE CITY CODE, AND AMENDING THE CITY’S ZONING MAP.” This Ordinance is applicable city-wide. This Ordinance approves a new Unified Development Code to replace and update the existing zoning and subdivision control ordinances including fines, penalties and fees. This Ordinance also repeals certain relevant ordinances pertaining to development in the City of Greendale merging those provisions into a single document.
A copy of this Ordinance, which prescribes penalties, is available for inspection in the Office of the Clerk-Treasurer, Greendale City Hall, 500 Ridge Avenue, IN 47025 and the Greendale Utility Office, located at 510 Ridge Avenue, IN 47025. Also, a copy of this Ordinance may be accessed online at www.cityofgreendale.net.
