Water Department

The Water Department maintains and operates the water plant and water lines in the City of Greendale. The water plant pumps an average of 1.1 million gallons a day to the City, the Hidden Valley Lake subdivision and parts of the North Dearborn Water system. The City has over 35 miles of water lines and 228 fire hydrants. In addition, the City has 2 storage tanks that store 1,000,000 gallons of water each. The City upgrades old lines and hydrants in conjunction with road work projects. The water department has 3 staff members who maintain the lines.
