CITY OF GREENDALE, Indiana – The City of Greendale is proud to announce a partnership with altafiber
to realize a “Smart City” Vision and bring free public Wi-Fi to most Greendale city parks.
In partnership with the City of Greendale, altafiber’s Smart City practice – branded as UniCity – has
installed a Smart City solution with Wi-Fi covering most of the parks in Greendale. The community may
log on by connecting to “_CityofGreendaleFreeWifi.”
“We are excited to partner with altafiber to bring free public Wi-Fi to our city parks. This is a great
benefit for our city. Thanks to altafiber and my team for working together to make this possible,” said
Mayor Alan Weiss.

Greendale on this important initiative.”
altafiber and the City of Greendale announced their partnership in 2021. The partnership will also
deliver altafiber’s state-of-the-art “Fiber to the Premise” network (FTTP) to every address in the city,
which number approximately 2,200 locations. The fiber build is on schedule to be completed this year.
