City Manager

This individual oversees and directs the day-to-day operations of the Utility, Civil City and Code/Building Departments. Reports to the Mayor, Board of Works and City Council on daily operations. Monitors the budgets, approves purchases, reviews plans, formulates new capital improvement budgets and provides oversight of the working staff. The City Manager is required to stay abreast of current rules and regulations and then directs the working staff and hired contractors accordingly. The City Manager attends all meetings of the Board of Works, Council, Redevelopment Commission, Planning Commission,  Board of Zoning Appeals, Park Board and Tree Board meetings. He is also the Chief Administrator for the Unsafe Bldg. Dept.
